Generations of Grace Sunday School Program

Generation of Grace is a Biblically based and God-centered curriculum designed so that children two years old through sixth grade go through the Bible (Old Testament historical books, the life of Christ, and lessons from Acts and Revelation) up to three times.  It is a unified curriculum, in that children in each age group learn from the same passage of Scripture in a way that is age appropriate.  This enables families to discuss one passage together each week, reinforcing the lesson that children have learned.  Children advance to the next age group each year on the first Sunday in August.

Generations of Grace is truly based on God’s Word, not just simplistic moral lessons extrapolated from God’s Word.  It is designed to magnify God by studying His character in the pages of Scripture.  Children can better understand who God is and how they are to respond to Him by studying how His redemptive plan has unfolded and how He has used men to accomplish His purposes.

Kids-4-Truth Wednesday Evening Program

Our desire is to give our children a road map of important, God-focused doctrinal truths as revealed in God’s Word. Our Wednesday evening program includes memorizing essential doctrinal truths taught in the Word of God, theme-based Bible stories to help them apply these doctrinal truths to everyday living, and crafts or skills projects specifically designed to train our boys and girls to become Godly men and women for Jesus Christ.

Scooters (see chart below) start developing a foundation of doctrine and truth designed to impart a vision of God, who He is, and who we are in relation to Him. We want our children to be Biblically grounded, seeing God as the hero of every story. The Bible is first and foremost about God. The other characters in the Bible merely point to God. Each lesson attempts to exalt the Triune God—to show Him as a great and almighty God.

Scooters (2’s & 3’s)

He Established a Testimony
He Has Spoken by His Son
This study explores God’s greatness by noting key themes found chronologically throughout the Old Testament. This study explores the greatness of God in Christ by noting key themes found chronologically throughout the New Testament.

Discoverers, Defenders, Detectives, and Defenders (see chart below) continue learning essential, God-Focused doctrinal truths. Each lesson is structured to become progressively more complex as the child grows older and learns more, but each child (4 years old – 6th grade) learns the same doctrinal truths each session year. The doctrinal themes emphasized are: God’s Word – The Bible, The Greatness of God, The Goodness of God, The Trinity, God’s Creation, God’s View of You, God’s Law, God’s Son – Jesus Christ, God’s Gift – Salvation, God’s Purpose for His Children, God’s Work – Past and Present, and God’s Plans for the Future. Every two years 12 doctrinal themes are covered (6 themes per year). The children will learn answers to the same questions primarily by memorizing the answers. A few of the questions change over the years, but for the most part, they stay the same. The answers are developed deeper and deeper for every age level. As an example, below is the very first question asked, as it is developed across the different age levels:

Discoverers (4’s – 5’s – K)
Developers (Grades 1-2)
Detectives (Grades 3-4)
Defenders (Grades 5-6)
