4OneMRBC High School Ministry – Grades 9 – 12

4One is a ministry dedicated to teaching the Word of God to high school (grades 9 – 12) kids in order to equip them to be witnesses for the Lord Jesus Christ, encourage them to have a faithful walk with the Lord Jesus Christ, and exhort them in Christ-honoring love of others.

4One stands for Ephesians 4:1-6 which states “I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called, with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love, endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond or peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.” 1 body, 1 spirit, 1 hope, 1 Lord, 1 faith, 1 baptism, 1 God, and 1 purpose – to glorify God!

KoinoniaMRBC College Ministry

“Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” 2 Timothy 2:15

We live in a world and culture totally separated from God. A culture and world guided by postmodern thought which claims absolute truth is non-existent and that every person is his own god. Unfortunately, this same mindset has taken root in many of our “evangelical churches” today. They have ultimately fallen prey to the age old deception “Has God indeed said….” (Gen. 3:1) through the watering down of Scripture and the flat out denial of God’s truth found in it.

Our Goal

The goal and desire of the Mission Road Bible Church college ministry, “KOINONIA”, is to prepare our students (Eph.6:10-18) to combat this mindset with the truth of Scripture, by being the salt and light God has called us to be, to the praise of His glory (Matt. 5:13-16). The only way to truly accomplish this is by being diligent to present ourselves “approved by God” by not being ashamed to determine and apply what God has indeed said, through “rightly dividing the word of truth” (2 Tim. 2:15).

Our Foundation

The foundation of the ministry is built with the following fundamental truths.

  • God is the Creator and only true God (Gen. 1:1, Is. 43:10-13, Rev. 4:11).
  • He is holy and therefore demands holiness from us (1 Peter 1:14-16).
  • His word is everlasting and true (Is. 40:8, Ps. 119:160).
  • Scripture is inspired by Him and is to be our sole guide and compass in life (2 Tim. 3:16-17, Ps. 119:105).

Our Strategy

The goal of the ministry is realized through several strategies implemented to produce fruit in the following areas; a growing relationship with God (Col. 1:9-12), strengthening relationships with other believers (Col. 3:12-17) and obedience to His word through the spreading the gospel to a lost and dying world (Matt. 28:19-20).

  • Sunday morning Bible study/fellowship
  • Weekly Tuesday night Bible study/fellowship
  • Monthly fellowship outside a Bible study setting
  • Yearly group activity w/other college groups
  • Evangelistic tools for work and school
  • Evangelism through the outreach of unsaved friends
Our Mission

Our mission is not to produce young adults with mere head knowledge but ones who will truly take their Biblical knowledge and apply it to life, by acting and speaking boldly of the hope that is in them.
